Great makeup starts before the first product touches your face. Skin prep can decide how smooth, fresh, and long-lasting your makeup looks.
Begin with regular hydration in the week before your event. Drink enough water and avoid trying new active skincare too close to the event date. If your skin is dry, use a nourishing moisturizer. If your skin is oily, use lightweight hydration instead of skipping moisturizer completely.
On the day of makeup, cleanse your face gently and avoid heavy creams unless your artist asks for them. Do not wax, thread, bleach, or do a facial on the same day, because the skin can become sensitive.
